What You Need To Know About Protecting Yourself During Anal Intercourse

Author: Phoenix Delray

Anal intercourse can be one of the most fun and pleasurable experiences known to man (and woman!). However, all of the pleasure can turn to pain if you do not protect yourself properly during anal intercourse. From choosing the right lubricants while staying away from the wrong ones to picking the best condom for your penis size, there are lots of different variables that go into a good anal intercourse encounter.

For example, many people do not know that you are not supposed to use oil based lube during anal intercourse, and there are a few reasons why. First and foremost, oil based lubricants can break down latex. That means that the gloves and condoms that you use during anal intercourse will not be as strong as they should be. Plus, the oil can leave a thin film on your skin after anal intercourse. This thin film can lead to irritation and lesions, which can then get infected.

Obviously, you would want to use the best condom possible during anal intercourse. This is because there are a ton of diseases that you can catch during the process of anal intercourse. And this includes HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhea, herpes, genital warts and a whole lot more. Some of these diseases have no cure available, meaning you will be stuck with them for the rest of your life. Plus, AIDS can even kill you (it has certainly claimed the lives of millions of people already to this day). Those are pretty heavy consequences for one unprotected anal intercourse encounter, so it is really best that you always use protection whenever you engage yourself in some anal action.

Although you cannot get pregnant through anal intercourse, because the risk of disease is so high you should always use condoms. The best condoms to use during anal intercourse are of the latex variety, because they are the strongest and resist tearing the most. To help keep the condoms from breaking during anal intercourse, you should always use a water based or silicone based lubricant. This keeps the latex slippery, where it is unlikely to get caught and rip.

It is also important that you choose the right condom for your anal intercourse needs. If you have an average sized penis, you will not impress anyone by buying magnum sized condoms. Instead, get the right sized condom for your equipment, even if it means choosing a smaller size.
