Ritu Beri is one of the top Indian fashion designers who have been continuously serving Indian fashion industry with her feminine and funky designer apparels. She is one such shining star of our country. This young talented woman fashion designer Ritu Beri enrolled herself in the national Institute of Fashion Technology in 1988. She was amongst the few bright students who got the opportunity to associate with this prestigious institute.

Ritu Beri studied fashion arts at the NIFT, New Delhi. She is the only Indian designer to be featured in promostyl's magazine Acustyl, which forecasts fashion trends, worldwide. She is the author of the personal fashion book, 101 Ways to Look Good. She also serves on the board of Governors at NIFT, and is an honorary patron of the Savera Association, a popular charity involved in improving the lives of Indian woman. Ritu Beri is married to business man Bobby Chadha and one has child named Jiya with him.

Ritu Beri launched 'Caring means sharing' for People for Animals- a project to fund animal-care centers.She introduced her new and unique line of animal styled products range called, 'Caring means sharing. This collection comprises of T-shirts, caps, stuffed toys, jugs, notepads, posters, postcards, pens and keychains. The funds raised through sales of this product line for "People for 'Animals' will be instrumental in the creation of additional animal-care centers throughout India.

She returned from the Russia Fashion Week recently and now she is off to show her latest couture collection at Paris Fashion week on July 7. However, Ritu’s show in Paris will not be a regular one. Models in her creations will be part of the audience. Ritu jokingly calls it “stiff catwalk”.

The outfits and designs (mainly in trendy denim and feminine chiffon, come under the "regular and wearable line," in Ritu's words. "It’s about looking sexy without revealing much." A special preview of Ritu Beri's collection was held last week at Djinns, Hyatt Regency. Top models like Swareena Singh, Joey Mathews, Sapna Kumar and Indrani Dasgupta sashayed down the catwalk sporting elaborate Afro fuzzy wigs and a melange of meticulously designed outfits.

With fashion growing in India Ritu Beri, the designer is gaining recognition for her simple and other times intricate designs, a woman who has put India on the top in the world of fashion. Ritu is a columnist for many leading journals. She is the force behind making India emerge as a power in the fashion industry. With her stunning good looks and innovative designs, she is likely to pave the way for many more Indian designers to come.

Fashion diva Ritu Beri has started a new jewellery line with the D'damas gems brand and would be making necklaces, pendants, earrings and finger rings which would be sold from her stores and from D'damas outlets across the country.

Ritu is said by many to be the driving force behind India's newly emerging power in the fashion industry, and most would have to agree.
