How Online Dating Got Me My Mr. Right

This is Kristy and I’m feeling so proud to say that I have found Daniel, my Mr. Right through online dating. Until 3 years ago, I used to think that online dating was for the birds. I was in New York City and he was Vancouver. My friends used to tell me that I should try online dating to find my life partner, but I was just a little skeptical about it. Finally, my close buddy, Linda got me signed up for a free online dating website. Undecided, I treaded pretty cautiously and set up a small profile of mine without a picture.

Every two to three days, I would log into my profile in online dating website to check if anyone had visited me. I would also enter the chat room occasionally to see if I could find anyone interesting. For the first couple of weeks after I signed up for the free online dating site, I couldn’t find anyone who was truly attractive to me. Even when I would try to chat with other members, I would get responses which were not impressive enough. This went until I found a replay from a member one evening that made me really think for sometime. As we started chatting more and more we found that we had a lot in common. He sent his pictures and I sent mine and it was “love at first sight”.

In the initial days, we would chat up occasionally but gradually, we started feeling desperate to chat almost everyday. Finally, we decided to meet each other to see how we would feel about each other in reality. I booked my tickets to Vancouver and we met on the Christmas Eve. It was the most romantic evening of my life when he kneeled on his left knee and proposed me, and I knew I had found my Mr. Right. Did you say online dating doesn’t work?
