Consult your doctor for weight loss tips and make a chart of how much you need and how much you can afford to cut down on. If you are breastfeeding, it is not only good for your baby’s health, but great for you as well. Experts say, weight loss after pregnancy is easier if you continue breast-feeding for the necessary period.

You can start exercising a little every day, although not immediately after pregnancy, since you are still breastfeeding. Walking is the most safest and effective way of losing weight. Even though your house work, and attending to your baby’s needs at untimely hours will keep you on your toes. Strenuous exercises should be avoided. At first, get used to the idea of moving, which will help you to feel light and get you going to the next level.

Try simple things like walking to the local store or taking the stairs instead. There are many videos available for exercises suitable for someone with such a goal in mind. Some light yogic exercises will go a long way in losing weight after nine month’s period. They will not only keep your weight in check, but will also keep you happy and motivated. Drink lots of water and juices to keep you well hydrated. This will help you to get rid of extra fat.

Don’t keep stepping on your scale to check your pregnancy weight loss too often, or you might feel you are fighting a losing battle. It’s alright to keep a tab on it, now and then. Till you feel you have reached your goal of losing weight after pregnancy, you can bask in your newly found glow, the pampering and the extra attention you get from your partner, friends and family!
